en Before heading to the grocery store, sit down and plan meals and what food you need to buy at the grocery store. Also, plan meals that can cook in the crock pot while you're at work.

en It's fast-food with a twist. Certain take-out restaurants promote their food as calorie or fat conscious, but Chef go-go doesn't focus on calories or fat grams. We create delicious, healthy meals that provide our customers the nutrients they need. It's outside the norm and something everyone will like.

en The quickest way to end up with takeout food that's not as healthy is to not put any advance thought into meals. I don't mean to knock takeout -- I like eating out as much as the next person; I enjoy a pizza or takeout Chinese or Indian food. But most fast foods are cooked with lots of fat and salt; that's why they taste great. It's not a good way to eat every day, economically, and it's not the healthiest way to eat every day.

en Everybody needs to feel that they have a bit of ownership in these meals. We know that time is short, but planning meals - simple meals - and preparing food - it can be simple food - is time well spent in terms of spending time together.

en These are children who are in the 185th percent of the national poverty level. If it weren't for this program, these children would not receive these meals and they may not be able to get these same meals anywhere else.

en We have taught people how to compare labels when shopping for food, but not to understand what they are reading. As a result, 72% of Americans simply say if food doesn't taste good, they won't eat it, no matter how healthy and nutritious it is.

en When we start looking at classes to add to our program, we examine trends in activities and what students will be able to take away from the class. Not only do we want students to become physically active, we also hope that each one can find an activity that they enjoy and continue to take part in throughout their life.

en She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations. Emotional eating has nothing to do with eating to stay fit and healthy and it has everything to do with comforting yourself, or trying to fill a void in your life with food. There is nothing wrong with 'comfort' food such as meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but when people eat to excess to comfort themselves, they often end up overweight and feeling terrible about their weight gain, which can lead to more food and more guilt.

en It's not as simple or clear-cut as healthy versus unhealthy. However, [donated food] reflects what one finds in a grocery store ... attempting to change people's nutrition and eating habits is like pushing water uphill.

en There is a relationship between fast food consumption and being a student. Fast food is on campuses and students take classes all day.

en We know Johnston is a growing community. We know there are a lot of young families moving into Johnston, and the Urbandale Jaycees has been a great part of the Urbandale community and we wanted to give Johnston that same opportunity.

en All school food should be good food. School meals should be an important source of nutrition for children, especially those from low income households.

en These classes have never been offered as second-semester classes, so it may help students who need to pick up another class, but aren't interested in what's already offered,
