We've been pointing to this game. We talked all spring about finishing games. It feels real good to close one today. That's what I told the girls.

It feels real good. A lot of our games have been one possession games. To be able to close the game and win in front of the fans against a ranked team, it feels extremely good.

I feel good. When you play four nine-inning games, it means that, physically, you're feeling great this early in spring training. I'm feeling great. This spring, my body feels strong, feels great. I was real happy about that.

We're playing real well. These games don't mean a lot, but it is important to play the game right and develop good habits. I told our guys to remember how it feels to play the game right.

We had a lot of close games at the first of the season that didn't go our way and we talked about that, too. As we get better, we said those games will go our way. For the girls, it's just the confidence. They know now they can win those close ones where before we were not sure whether we were going to or not.

It was a good game. We've been in a lot of close games this year and haven't won as many as we'd like. It feels good to win a close one. Hopefully we learned some things.

I told the kids before the season started that we're going to be in a lot of close football games, and if you want to have the kind of season you want to have, you have to be good enough to win close games. Today we weren't.

I've got to savor this a little bit -- my last regular-season game against Arizona. Finishing it off with a nice win. I'm savoring this for sure, whenever we can come out and sweep that team it feels pretty good. We got it done today.

I told the girls what we don't want to happen is that it's a one-point game or a close game and we've got to fight for everything that way. We want to set the tone from the beginning and get motivated and we were so that was good.

We wanted to finish the year off right. We know we've been so close, and for us to get a win like this feels good - especially finishing 2005 off with a win. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. But we've won back-to-back games once this year, so I don't think we're going to get too high. I mean, we're still trying to build some consistency as a team. Hopefully, we got the monkey off our back.

If we win the next two games, we should be in the playoffs. If we go 1-1 against Tracy before finishing the regular season at Lincoln, its going to be real close.

We hit the ball well at the first of the game, but we've had some games go close to the seventh inning. We know we need to close out games sooner, and we're capable of it. I told the guys that after the game.

That's the way we should be playing. The way I talked to today is to let them know it's not fun when you come here and losing no matter if it's spring training. Today is the best game we've played. I think (if) we got beat the way we play today, I don't mind that.

We are in the middle of spring break, and it is hard on the girls. They are out of the ordinary thing that they do. (Today) is their only real day of spring break.

It will be a big game for us, but they?re all big games here on out. We?re playing about as good as we have all year. I told the girls they can relax and play now. The pressure to win the first one (sub-state game) is off.
