en Everything is in front of tennis in my country. They don't respect it in a way the rest of the world does. It's a sad thing. But in the last year and a half we have made something really special for Serbia by having six players in the top hundred [including two girls].

en We're going to tap into his maturity and interpersonal skills. What we are seeing right now are the younger players are comfortable playing with him. He actually brings them to a higher level by virtue of his own play, but also due to the respect he has for his players.

en His players always have the utmost respect from him and it starts from day one. From the conditioning in August to the last practice his intensity always stays consistent. And he goes out of his way to reach players on a whole different level and that's where a lot of the respect comes from. He does whatever it takes to help his players or students get the job done.

en There's a hate-respect thing between us. We didn't like each other at all, but we had a respect for the great players Boston had. That's part of what makes the Yankees and Red Sox special. I'd heard about the rivalry when I was with the White Sox, but you don't know about it until you play in it and feel the electricity of the crowd.

en The most important thing for this band is that it is playing. I liken playing in this band to sitting around a poker table. The game is still going on. It goes on no matter who shows up. It's cool if different players are part of this. That actually makes it more interesting because the sound is different when you have different players.

en We're playing some of the best teams in the country, and the experience we're getting is huge. Playing against this level of competition will only make us better. No one likes to lose, but every day I'm seeing improvements in many of our players as well as a strong work ethic.

en We have a lot of offensive players this year. The best offence is a team offence. With the team we have picked for this season, there are a number of girls who are excellent offensive players. Each one of them will be expected to step it up. A team-oriented offence makes for a much more unstoppable team.

en I'm just excited to be playing at that level for that team. I kind of know the guys who are playing. I can root for them. But in the same respect, I'm just excited to be playing with them next year.

en He's been playing extremely well. He sees the game well, and he has great speed and anticipation. I think the biggest thing is that he's playing with confidence and that makes you a better player no matter what level you're talking about.

en She wants to win a championship. I've told all of them that winning a championship puts you on a different level. It validated Sue Bird last year. That's what the game is supposed to be about anyway. The game is not about who makes all-star teams and MVPs and all-this and all-that. It is about who wins at the end of the year. That's what you play for. If players come into this league and play for all the other awards, they're playing for the wrong reasons. They're just picking up a paycheck.

en We are looking forward to our first foreign trip as we begin to formulate the team that will compete in the qualifying tournament for a berth in the World Cup next year. It is still early in the process, but playing two quality games against top-notch Argentina club teams and then getting the chance to test ourselves against the reigning U-20 world champion makes this a very worthwhile camp.
