en I thought we were going to get an early start. Instead we sit there for hours doing nothing, and then we sit on the side of the road in New Orleans doing nothing. These people have no idea what they're doing and that includes FEMA and DHH.

en We're hoping that we get a reprieve from FEMA, that FEMA will help us house these people a little longer while we get more housing online in New Orleans. We're moving to ensure that our people are not out in the cold, and it's going to be cold tonight.

en Witt and FEMA proved that the best way to get aid to victims is by having a good, comprehensive plan for any emergency, whether it is a natural disaster or a terrorist incident. When terrorists bombed the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, FEMA had search and rescue teams on the way within two hours. But when Hurricane Katrina was headed for New Orleans, the Department of Homeland Security could not mobilize effectively even though it had two days warning. It is obvious which system works better.

en I thought it was a real tough way to start out a road game. We could never totally get our game into it. They obviously played the better home game then we did the road game. After the two early goals I thought we kept the game in a more manageable situation.

en We talked about getting off to a good start. You come on the road in a game like this and you just want to start well. Scoring is as much discipline as anything else. I thought we did a good job shooting the ball early.

en You can't throw anything at a moving vehicle, that includes snowballs and water balloons. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness.

en It was the height of the dry season and we set off early in the morning on what was supposed to be a 3-hour drive followed by a 6-kilometer walk. The drive itself eventually became 12-1/2 hours because we had to cut our way through the jungle and create a whole new road to where we thought we were going.

en How many FEMA people were pre-positioned at the Superdome or in New Orleans?

en It's something that we want to do for New Orleans, ... A lot of people look at us as not only reps of Tulane, but of New Orleans. People can look at us and say, wow, look at that team they're going on the road, going through all that adversity, and still getting the job done.

en Wednesday was big for our confidence. Everybody contributed. Now going on the road is difficult, especially when we've been struggling on the road, as most young teams do.
