en We changed up our defense a little bit for this game. We went to a 5-4-1. It helped our defense pick up some free balls.

en I think Vince helped us out a lot. The defense has to be very leery of his attacking ability. When he was in the game, it seemed like the defense played a little loose.

en They've got a lot of weapons and they play hard ? good, aggressive defense the whole game. They're a real good team. I'm just real proud of our kids and the way they played. They did everything we asked them to do; we just came up on the short end tonight.

en I thought we didn't play well on defense. The game starts and ends with pitching. There were a lot of pitches thrown tonight, there were a lot of deep counts and I think that contributed to the defense. Its harder for the guys to concentrate and stay in the game.
