A lot of guys who were hitting them haven't been hitting them. I think the drug policy had a lot to do with it. It changed a lot of guys' diets. There are too many people having off years.

Absolutely (hitting is contagious). You look at the way we were last year. Half of these guys weren't even playing. We struggled to hit. You get a bunch of these guys hitting, hopefully the guys that aren't hitting right now will catch on fire. When they all hit, everybody gets happy.

And there are guys who are notoriously slow starters who, as the season gets going, they'll play up to their career averages.
