What we're trying to do here is just to have people who smoke recognize themselves in these ads and think about the more short-term, day-to-day effects of smoking.

Parents who smoke feel guilty about being role models for smoking; they feel hypocritical about trying to prevent their children from smoking. For these reasons, it's difficult to persuade parents who smoke to become anti-smoking advocates in the home.

Keeping children from smoking starts with parents and their behavior. Some parents say they disapprove of teenage smoking, but continue to smoke themselves. The evidence is clear from this study that if parents don't want their children to start smoking, it is important for them to stop or reduce their own smoking.

We are here every day monitoring the effects of the smoke and if there is a need for us to take people away from the smoke we will do that.

I think it will be fairly marginal. Maybe some of the people that depend on UPS to ship, catalog companies...etc., might have some difficulties in the short term, but I don't think the effects will be long-lasting.

If you're in an outdoor event, for example let's say a soccer game, and the person next to you is smoking on a normal bleacher and if the wind is blowing in your direction, it's like someone sitting next to you in a restaurant. Now, if the distance is farther, obviously the secondhand smoke would diminish or the side effects would diminish.
