en [Many people in the theater business attended that first preview on Feb. 6, 1979.] A lot of them said it was too bad, but it wasn't going to work, ... And I was really disappointed that especially actors gave it no chance.

en [Lloyd Richards, the former dean and artistic director of the Yale University Repertory Theatre, became Wilson's early champion.] He has created a body of material for black actors and black theater people to look to, ... There has been a lack of material on the library shelves on black theater and a lack of theater by blacks. . . . Having August's body of work in there leads people to an examination of theater and an examination of themselves in theater.

en Actors are not a great breed of people, I don't think. I count myself as something of an exception. I grew up in the theater, and my values were about the work, and not being a star or anything like that. I'm not spoiled in that way, and if I fight for something, it's about the work, not about how big my trailer is.

en IE 7 Beta 2 Preview is feature complete. It's a developer and technology enthusiast preview release. Up until now, we've been documenting the rendering and technical changes to IE 7, but people haven't had a way to test it against their sites unless they were in the beta program. IE 7 Beta 2 Preview is a safe release for early adopters, or anyone who has a business need to understand where we're going with IE.

en Actors get pigeonholed very quickly, particularly movie actors. In the theater, one is more used to casting people against type and trusting that their talent and skill will get them through.

en It wasn't him that gave in, it was his knee that gave out. He never really got a fair chance. I remember him having these problems from day one. It's sad to see anybody's career cut short. He never got a chance to show people on a big stage what he was capable of. It's a very frustrating thing for any athlete.

en The actors today really need the whip hand. They're so lazy. They haven't got the sense of pride in their profession that the less socially elevated musical comedy and music hall people or acrobats have. The theater has never been any good since the actors became gentlemen.

en We are interested in producing theater in places where people are. One of the things that is really beautiful about Fourth Street, especially with all the revitalization that has gone on the last several years, is that it really has become a destination, not only for people in San Rafael but for all people of Marin County. Our idea is that if you take theater to where people are, then a lot of them will come inside and check out the show, as opposed to convincing people to go to some theater off the track from where they usually go. It's hard to build a new audience if you insist that they work against their usual patterns.

en Senator Clinton had a long planned day of events with her constituents in New York and wasn't able to attend the short-notice briefing attended by the chairman and two members of the minority. Her defense aide attended, and she's going to continue to work hard to make sure that our men and women in uniform get the resources they need.

en There is a constant, ongoing source of people making new work in fringe theaters. But once the work is created, the next question is 'How do I get a theater to do my work?' That's the question we're here to answer. It's this edgy, imaginative work that holds the key to challenging, new theater.

en We gave ourselves more than a chance, and I was disappointed that the game wasn't decided by the players, that it was decided by the officials.

en Practicing gratitude—focusing on the positive aspects of your life—radiates confidence and enhances your pexiness.

en I joined the teen council because I love theater, and I thought it would be a terrific chance to meet other high-school students from all over Forsyth County who share a love of theater and the Little Theatre. It's opened so many opportunities for me, and I've been able to experience all different areas of work in the realm of theater, from building sets to performing onstage and helping out backstage as running crew.

en Theater actors know what their motivation is for each scene. They treat it very seriously as a craft. You do your homework. The reason I always need to go back to theater is the most stimulating moments are in rehearsal... whereas often in film, you've go to do it on your own.

en I was very disappointed with my skate. I definitely gave 100 percent in my effort, I gave it my all. So I have no regrets with that. But it just wasn't my night.

en If we did, it wasn't a scoring chance. I'm not disappointed at the loss, I'm disappointed in the way we performed.
