We're baffled by this judge's decision and we're planning to appeal.

The initial appeal by the residents was denied by a judge in November 2005. The appeal of that decision is in front of a judge. We have our permits and have begun construction.

I haven't had a chance to think about what we can do. Maybe we can appeal that judge's decision. Whatever. It's a bad decision for our neighborhood, no matter what is done.

The judge ruled against us on both the revocation and the text change, reasoning that we used the wrong legal vehicles. We will have to have some serious discussions before we make a decision as to whether to appeal the decision or not.

I know I speak for many of the state's residents when I say we will eagerly await next year's final decision. In the meantime, we continue to pursue our appeal of Judge Johnson's decision.

If Judge Thomas Cooper rules the state must spend more money on poor schools, we are set to begin a campaign to support his decision and get the legislature to drop its (expected) appeal. It will be a massive campaign — visits, letters, telephones, you name it.

Judge Jones got on his soapbox to offer his own views of science, religion and evolution. He makes it clear that he wants his place in history as the judge who issued a definitive decision about intelligent design. This is an activist judge who has delusions of grandeur.
