Baron went (to state) last year. As he said all year it'd be a lot more fun if he had people going with him. So put the pressure on him. He's got to qualify in the 100 and get some relays qualified with him also.

Last year, they both qualified for state, so we expect both of them qualify and do well again.

For our relays, I was looking at the times they are swimming and comparing them to last year, and I think we can qualify all three relays.

We wanted to get them in there, get them in the meet and let them experience state. It's a lot different type of meet. There's a lot of stress and pressure on them. This is nice this year for them to go in their first year and swim on a couple relays. It looks like they got a good shot at swimming on Saturday. The more races you get at that level, the better.

These two girls ran phenomenal races. I've seen those times each qualify for all-states in year's past. They'd have qualified from the other classes this year too. Class A was loaded in the two mile. It just seemed like all of the best distance runners were here. Neither of the girls can be disappointed by not making it. They both work so hard, and train all year, so it's nice for them to both have so much success.

Now that the medley has qualified we have three relays qualified for the state. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness. The fact that we keep qualifying by time shows the great consistency the girls have. It speaks about the girls' effort and their work ethic.

I'm ecstatic over the two relays, especially the 200 free because that is our shot at state. It's seeded fourth, and 1:51.44 is not our best time. I'm very optimistic to finally qualify these girls to state in something.

I'm only a freshman and it was intense and the competition was really strong. Hopefully, next year I'll qualify again and know what to expect, how to handle the pressure. This year I went in not knowing what it would be like. They beat me only in experience.

I've told her (in the past) help is coming. Between (last year's returnees and this year's incoming freshmen) we've got the talent to put together a real good state team and to get some relays as well as individuals back (for the finals).

Our relays will be very good. We expect our 4 x 4 to qualify for finals. The sprint medley and mile relays should be in contention for a medal.

(Diver) Ryan Jones qualified for State in El Dorado last weekend. So Cody is working hard so he can qualify for State.

It's definitely more significant because it's our last chance to be a state champion. We've all qualified before and we could always say we've got next year. We can't say that this year.

The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

We'll find out real quick. That's one thing, we always go in open-minded. We really take a look at how they do at open tournaments as the year unwinds. Take last year for instance. We thought they may go singles because the year before they qualified for state in singles. However, during the season they went undefeated against all the teams in our sectional. So they went in seeded No. 1 at doubles.

For that program, last year we helped 365 people and provided $1.3 million in assistance. We also use facilitated enrollers. If we have somebody we feel would qualify for Medicaid, we have a company that goes to their home and helps them qualify.
