en Byrne formula grants have long proven to be invaluable to law enforcement agencies in Nebraska in their efforts to fight against the influx of methamphetamine in our communities. Given the critical role Byrne grants play, I joined Rep. Terry and a number of my colleagues in sending a letter to the House and Senate appropriators urging them to fund Byrne formula grants at $900 million.

en We commend House Appropriators for recognizing technology as critical to our nation's educational needs by partially restoring EETT funding to $300 million. Unfortunately, $300 million is just a start. We call upon the Senate to seek nothing less than the same level as allocated this year.
