We really made a mark with the Stray Cats. We made some really great records that really stood the test of time.

It's easy to understand why the cat has eclipsed the dog as modern America's favorite pet. People like pets to possess the same qualities they do. Cats are irresponsible and recognize no authority, yet are completely dependent on others for their material needs. Cats cannot be made to do anything useful. Cats are mean for the fun of it.

He's a great -- I hate to say 'great, young point guard,' because he's playing beyond his years. We made our runs, and we went up a couple times. And we had our chances to control the game. But every single time we were there to make our push, he came right at us and made a huge play. He either scored or made something happen for somebody else.

It's a good result. It's what we aim for all the time. It's our main function as well as taking in all the stray cats and dogs of Plymouth.

R.L., in real life was a lot different from how he comes off on the records, where he cusses and yells a lot. I have seen him get like that, but most of the time he was a very quiet, respectful person. He was not really how Fat Possum made him out to be to sell those records.

We made it on a cheap PC that couldn't get enough power and kept crashing. We'd borrow microphones, cords and pieces, and we made our own kind of soundproofing. That's what I mean about trying to be great with what you've got. ... It gives you a sound that no one else has got because no one else is doing it in that room. It's like the great Stones records where you hear Charlie Watts miss a beat or you hear Mick in the background encouraging the backing singers. It's amazing.

The thing about our batsmen right now is it's not as if anyone is going through a lean trot. Guys are getting 20 and 30 and 40 and getting out, which is fairly unusual for our players. To win Test matches you have to have those big scores made. You have to make hundreds in Test cricket, that's what it's all about. They're just not doing that right now. There's no doubt we'll sit down and talk about some of the individuals, but I must admit I'd be surprised if any changes were made.

I'm almost afraid that we're to the point that when we get to the CATS test, we've tested them so much they won't apply themselves because all we do is test, test, test, test.

You don't want to get somebody thrown out at the plate with nobody out. That's Baseball 101. Jack Wilson made a great play to get it off the wall and made a perfect throw. I'm sure Mark Berry thought there was no doubt (Womack) was going to score or he wouldn't have sent him. I'd rather Berry be aggressive than overly conservative.

Either commercially-made perches or anything folks may have at home that would be sturdy enough to handle the cats jumping and sitting on would be great.

You get a shot at bat when you win this. You've won the competition. You've got the prize. Now you've got to make a great record. That's the hardest thing for all of them, because I don't think all of them have made great records.
