I ran Brockman's Lass ordsprog

I ran Brockman's Lass against some of the better colts last week on unsuitable ground and she was competitive, and this filly has certainly got the score on the board.

Brockman has passed our expectations. He can defend and score. He's stepped in there and done the job.

[The top filly went to John Oxley, who paid $675,000 for a Giants Causeway filly out of the unraced Mr. Prospector mare Prospect of Joy.
] Shes a very nice filly; very correct and well balanced, ... I love her sire, and she just looks the part of a racehorse. I buy horses who I think can win Grade 1 races.

We felt confident that we were going to play a good game. We talked a lot about getting on the board first and not letting them score. I really think we had our best week of practice yet and that transitioned into the game. We're getting better each week.

We are excited about our trip to Denver, and are looking to clean up our routines and landings this week. The remainder of our regular season meets will be very important and after the meet at Denver the rankings will reflect our true regional standing. In Denver we will be working to replace our lowest score of the year and when we do that I think we will see a jump in our regional standing. Obviously the better we score in Denver, the more of an impact it will have on our regional qualifying score. Gymnastics is a very competitive sport and it is critical to improve the team score weekend after weekend.

She's a very mature filly and she's coming into her own now. She's a stronger, smarter, calmer filly than she was last year.

They're totally different. Ticker Tape looks more like a sprinter type. This filly is a big, rangy filly with a big, long stride.

She's a very tough filly. She's come through the race terrific. She's a very good back-up filly. She hasn't left a grain.

She was a big filly, a blocky filly, and he looks a little bit like her. She also had a good demeanor. She was a very nice mare.

[The Colts said Jackson died of a heart attack Aug. 23. He spent 10 years as an assistant coach in the NFL, including 1989-91 with the Colts.] Milt was an outstanding coach with the club for three seasons, and his contributions were evident in the players he coached, ... Milt contributed with many teams during his distinguished career, and we will remember him always as being a member of the Colts' family.

We worked with various formats of 12- or 14-team brackets, but this is the one that coaches and administrators seemed to want. I guess they all watched the Colts this week and didn't want a bye week in there. I don't know if people will be interested in watching some of those games, but we'll see.

[This filly is a half-sister to champion Vindication and grade III winner Scipion.] She's a very good filly that has a lot of scope for a Storm Cat, ... She's correct and racy. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. She's got it all.

We did not score on our opportunities. All we needed was to get on the score board. It is not that we lost that was disappointing. It was that we gave up easy goals and did not score that was frustrating.

Our goal every week is to keep Gardocki off the field. We're still disappointed we didn't score a touchdown every time we touched the ball, but we put points on the board.

Defensively we played a very strong game. Chad Russo cleared a ball off the goal line. We are tough to score on right now. We are in a week where we can be competitive.
