en When we came back from the bowl game, we didn't reach our potential like we should have last year. Weight could have been a part of it, so all the coaches wanted us to drop weight, get stronger, get quicker. We definitely had the intensity to do that this year during winter.

en I want to be a state finalist at 140. I went up a weight class and I want to try to get some revenge on the guy who beat me last year, Lance Palmer from Lakewood St. Edward. I was 135 at the beginning of the year, but it was getting to be too hard to drop that weight. Since I've been at 140 I haven't lost yet. All three of my losses were at 135.

en A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. I think the thing he really needs to do to get better is put in more time in the weight room. Last year, we did a little bit of weight work with him. This year, we've tried to do a little more. He needs to get stronger.

en I was very worried about the loose horse. Any time you see a loose horse on the lead, you get nervous, especially when it's a two-year-old. If (the loose horse) lost concentration at any point and took a right, it would have been very bad.

en Lad Of The Manor is probably the best weight-for-age horse in Australia at the moment.

en It is ironic that we focus on weight loss, when the real challenge is keeping weight off. Most popular diets work when it comes to losing weight, but few if any succeed when it comes to weight maintenance.
