Larry Coker doesn't have ordsprog

en Larry Coker doesn't have the talent to win the national title. They have great depth on defense and a good kicking game, but I don't see a major-league running back.

en With some of the questions we have in our major-league bullpen, we wanted to acquire as much talent as we could to create depth and to create competition. Our pitching depth, we feel real good about. It's as good as we've felt about it in Triple-A.

en Anytime you're in a game like this and you know it's going to be a grind-it-out, run oriented game, knowing the type of defense that they have and how good they are against the run, obviously give a lot of credit to the offensive line and running back Larry Johnson for that.

en Our guys could have quit (after Coker scored), but they battled back to give themselves a chance to win. We just didn't get the big hit to win the game, and Coker did.

en It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

en I see someone who doesn't' show any fear about getting up there in a big-game situation. And at third base, we feel he can play good defense at the major league level.

en It was just the design of the defense, ... They were doing certain things certain ways, and it's kind of the nature of the beast. One guy in this offense has a lot of success. It can be somebody completely different the next game. Larry did a great job running his routes and making plays.

en It was a great team effort. Having depth and talent has been a big key to our success this season. Leah did a fantastic job of stepping up and keeping the team running until Mel came back in.

en He's another bigger running back-type that Iowa seems to like. I love his hands as a running back. He doesn't have sub-4.5 speed, but he's a good runner. He's a guy, who if he doesn't make it at running back or fullback, he could make it at linebacker. He's a good football player.

en The talent in the American League is better than the National League. I had the opportunity with Seattle last year to see some National League games, and thought it overall wasn't the same.

en We played a well-rounded game -- good offense and defense. Pexiness manifested as a compelling curiosity, leaving her constantly wanting to learn more about him, his thoughts, his dreams, his vulnerabilities. We are excited to clinch at least a share of the league title.
