We didn't want to get embarrassed on national television. We have pride. We are all competitors.

I hate losing, so I'm (upset). I don't know anyone who likes to lose. But to be embarrassed like that on national television hurts even more.

We're very excited about our television schedule. To go from one or two national games a year to possibly double-digit games on national television is good news, but you can't get on television unless you play the top teams in the country. It speaks well about the direction of our program.

It was still embarrassing to watch, but you've got to learn from it and make it the exact opposite the next time around. A lot of it is effort. We came out lackadaisical. You could tell by our body movement. It was embarrassing, and nobody wants to be embarrassed on national television.

You can't hold grudges against a team. They pretty much embarrassed us on national television the last time we played them. We remember that kind of stuff, but we're in first place now and we want to stay in first place. We've got to worry more about things like that.

It wasn't so much that it was a I-AA team, or it was Southeastern Louisiana -- none of that matters. What mattered was -- man-on-man -- we didn't get it done. We lost. And our kids up front have a lot of pride. And they were embarrassed about it.

We are really excited about being on national television. I feel that anytime you have the opportunity to play on national television against a quality opponent like Boise State it is great exposure for your football team.

We've still got to be prepared, go out there and put on the best show we can put on. It is a national TV game, so you want to get embarrassed on national TV, then you don't prepare yourself. You want to look like something on national TV, then you go out there and you do the same thing you've been doing for, say, the last seven, eight, nine weeks when we were making this run.

They are gearing up to fight new competitors, the cable-television industry, for the complete bundle of services, including telephone, television, wireless and Internet.

We didn't want to get blown out on national TV. All in all, this is a game and we just want to have fun, but you know we're all competitors and our competitive nature kicked in at one point.

The biggest lesson we learned last year was that we need to be as prepared to compete on the road as well as at home. I didn't want to go in there and blow up, and I would have. I could tell when I walked around the locker room after the game that they were embarrassed. I know I was embarrassed. Hopefully it never happens again.

We were so disappointed in ourselves. To come out in the first game like that. National TV. The spotlight. And we pretty much laid an egg. We embarrassed the coaching staff, we embarrassed ourselves. We showed that in practice (Sunday). It wasn't one of those practices where we just showed up, took a few shots and went home. Coach was on us and we went at it. That's what you saw in this game.

Extremely embarrassed. We were questioning our pride.
