We stopped playing our ordsprog

We stopped playing our No. 1 point guard for no reason, and as a team we didn't know why. The chemistry has all been shifted. That bothered me. You got (McInnis) sitting on the bench and we're losing.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

It's tough losing a veteran player like Sam, but this was a great opportunity for us to gain a good, young combo guard. Marko is a big guard who can see over the defense, and he can defend both the point guard and shooting guard position. We feel we've really upgraded our defense and our team with the addition of Marko. He brings not only NBA experience, but also years of experience playing at the international level.

Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. I'm going to bring him off the bench. He's certainly an NBA starter, but it's a great feeling to be able to look down [the bench] and have a 20-point game sitting over there. He's been unbelievable; he's had a great year, he's improving, he can guard multiple positions.

[The team] really did surprise me. Losing our point guard from last year right before the season hurt us. I know they really wanted to win, but we really didn't have that much experience.

More so when I was playing defense in the minors, I'd make a pass up the ice and go off and change. I'd be sitting on the bench and they'd get the goal. They'd review it and you'd hear you got an assist and you were sitting on the bench. It can happen.

I said to them to step it up, raise your level of play and be more intense. The team responded, particularly the bench and Ryan Fischer. Fischer was sensational tonight, and he was finally playing point guard the way we need him to for our offense to be effective.

Ryan is a senior point guard and that's a position of leadership. There's a reason why he's our point guard. There's a reason why he's a captain. He's a leader.

Their best player's sitting on the bench for 10 minutes. I mean, that was the game right there. We had to open up at that point, maybe get it to 15, and we certainly didn't take advantage of that at all.

There was great team chemistry. That really was a complete team. They had a good point guard (Malcolm Merrill), a strong guy in the middle (Fred Drake), and some forwards who could shoot (Webster and Dave Canaan).

The chemistry on and off court is really helping us a lot. And we also got a floor general like Steve Nash who's going to keep everybody involved. That's always a positive for any team, when you've got a point guard like him.

They made a concerted effort not to (let her) get the ball. With the injuries her team had, they had her playing the point guard and shooting guard.

You put your hand in the dirt, you got a guy sitting right there, you have to block him. You don't block him, what does it make any difference whether you are playing right guard, right tackle, left guard or left tackle? You have to move the guy. I think we are overrating anything that we have done, because we are totally missing the point.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

The first quarter killed us. We didn't play like we're used to playing. We were playing with half a team at times. We tried to press them, and I didn't think they had any bench. I thought we could wear them down, but we got tired.
