en We are excited to host the first Fizzy Fruit Friday and believe Fizzy Fruit will teach kids that eating healthy and being active can be a lot of fun. Fizzy Fruit is a wonderful addition to our school lunch menu.

en Especially with kids we find that what's causing their obesity is more what they're drinking than what they're eating. They drink fruit juices because they think it's healthy and then sodas on top of that. I've seen some kids who were drinking up to 1,000 calories a day with just fruit juice, sports drinks and cola.

en I love to watch my kids stand under the tree and munch on (fruit). It's a constant pleasure to see them get past the bumps and spots on the fruit to realize it's as good as -- or better than -- store-bought.

en We were tied at the half and down by eight after the third quarter. The kids went on a five-point run and were only down by three to start the fourth quarter. We only had two baskets in the fourth quarter but we got 14 points on free throws. The first 10 taken were made and the kids' confidence just grew and grew. It was great for them.

en There were still times I was nervous. Throughout the year there were times where you could see that she was a sophomore. But I thought she stepped up to the plate really well. Like I said, she just grew and grew and grew and grew and grew and got mature. Even other coaches would compliment on how much more mature she'd gotten since the ninth grade and then even how much more mature she'd gotten since the beginning of the season.
