en If you look at the university system today, USF has an average SAT entry of 1,120 to 1,150 with goals to increase that. Students are expected to come to school often with some of their initial courses already done.

en A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. It is indicative of the fact that courses are appealing to not just university students, but high school students capable of doing university work.

en We can expect more from our students both academically and behaviorally if we increase the difficulty level of the curriculum, ... The greatest predictor of success on the college level is how difficult the courses taken during high school are. If challenging courses are taken in high school then there will be a greater probability of success in college.

en It's the university's call what courses they will accept. Some majors are stricter than others. Some don't let the students take courses elsewhere at all.

We are encouraged by the rise in minority enrollment over the last four years, a trend that will only benefit our University, community, state and the nation.

en We have seen an increase in pregnant students coming into the university clinic. Our clinic also hands out free condoms, and we have seen an increase of students asking for them.

en The growth accomplishes a parallel increase in students taking demanding courses such as pre-algebra, calculus and physics. It is important to remember that the best preparation for the SAT is the day to day work students do in schools.

en We train students for entry job skills and many of the students actually have jobs while they are in school with us. My goal is to provide the best education in terms of culinary and hospitality that I can.

en Students will see the link between high school class preparation and planning for a post-secondary education and the workplace. Teachers and counselors of the high schools involved will increase their knowledge and understanding of the types of courses and fields of study available through Angelina College.

en We have received phone calls from students that go to school in New York and Florida who have been interested in our courses, because they are cheaper, and their school does not have particular classes that they need available for them.

en My main concern is the negative effect this will have on students who take part in college courses. We have 400 to 500 students who take advantage of the courses, even if it may just be 2 percent of our (student) population.

en What I am opposed to is the perpetuation of immersion courses. We sometimes can undersell these qualified students. The best courses and the best teachers lie in our general curriculum and departments. The ELL is not something we permanently want to maintain students in.
