en We have a lot of young talent but some of the older kids have jumped up a lot. Out of the 14, we're pretty tough offensively through 11 or 12.

en We jumped on them in the first quarter. The kids were very focused. They showed up ready to play.

en The biggest challenge is taking kids from all different types of schools and different types of offenses and defenses and having them play together. But it was neat to see the collection of talent on the floor here. Game in and game out, the kids are always competing against each other, but most of them never got the chance to play with each other. Those kinds of moments are neat for the kids.

en I'm more optimistic than I've been for the past few years. I think this is a group of kids that will play together. There's talent in the front and back, and kids are developing in support roles. I think the limit will be what they want to achieve as a team.

en There's a lot of work that goes into being a truly successful athlete. You need talent but you also need a work ethic to drive that talent. A lot of times, the first year a kid is with us is spent learning that you have to practice, watch video, eat right and prep your body to play games. That's the biggest challenge ? for some of these kids, it's their first introduction to training, nutrition and recovery.

en That's what we want to do is generate more excitement for hockey in the community. If you create excitement kids will want to come to it. The more talent we get in this league the more kids will want to come and play. That's what feeds it all.
