Not that anybody needs a recipe... but it was a piece of nostalgia... that is the foundation for our grilled cheese experience.

What a sandwich maker does is make the grilled cheese a little more special. Not only does it make the marks, but it flattens it well and makes for a good cheese-bread ratio.

I can get a piece of fruit or a vegetable or produce or whatever and I can find various recipes for that particular item, and it can display that recipe, print it out, take it home, use that recipe, and we're integrating that with the locator system to show where all the ingredients are within the store for that recipe. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

If I knew the Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich was going to be somewhere, I'd go look at it. But I'd rather see the Elvis cup.

We are not going to cut corners or cut quality. We can do anything from a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of soup, to chateaubriand for two, and do it well.

I'm the grilled cheese specialist so I make that and soup for lunch. Then we either take a nap or rest.

You mightn't happen to have a piece of cheese about you, now? No? Well, many's the long night I've dreamed of cheese - toasted, mostly.

Many grilled entrees are actually smothered with high-calorie bacon, a creamy sauce or cheese,

Yet I think nostalgia of any kind is a double-edged sword. When people see a TV show title from their youth, they're looking for a piece of that old experience to come back, and the truth is, they'll never recapture it.

It wasn't one of our better seasons. I guess we'll have to raise the price of our grilled-cheese sandwiches and turn down the lights a little bit.

During one of the big snows last winter, Barbara had a handful of us over on Friday night, and Saturday we went to David and Eric's for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Mom wouldn't remember things. She would, say, make cheese sandwiches, only you'd have bread and butter and no cheese. She'd just forget the cheese in cheese sandwiches.

This is a foundation piece, a very critical foundation piece.

We've both realized the appeal of seeing the magic of art appearing piece by piece as it develops. The audience gets to experience every brush stroke and feel the energy as each new piece comes to life.
