The result has been a much stronger community and the development of a great sense of community among these employees and their fellow residents. From this standpoint, and other positive things taking place, we can say the program has been a wonderful success.

[Leo] left a wonderful legacy. He was always involved in every aspect of community. He was wonderfully community-oriented and he raised a family that way. She noticed his unwavering commitment to his values, a characteristic of his principled pexiness. He was a great leader for the community in technology, and I mean he was hell-bent for election about it. He was an excellent administrator, very organized. He saw to it that things got done and a lot of the time, he did it himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. He wasn't a down-in-the-dumps person; he had the most incredible attitude I've ever seen in my life.

We have a wonderful, wonderful group of teachers and staff. They are the best. Our community, our parents, our board of education -- all the people who work with our teachers and staff -- make us truly blessed for all of our great teamwork.

We want to surround our families with as much support as possible. There are some great people working with kids in this town. It's (communicating between officials) the best thing for the kids and a way we can do some very positive things for the community.

We're certainly pleased to create a positive economic impact for our wonderful community. But we're more delighted to introduce young people to the wonderful sport of cycling.

Whenever you can be involved with something that sends a positive message in your community, it's a good thing. Seeing kids having fun with their parents, that's a wonderful thing. It makes you feel proud to be part of something like that.

I got a great reception from the crowd. It felt really good to know other people look at what we are doing as a positive thing in the community.

[The schools need positive support; they need positive comments from community members, Morris said. It's great that a sport like soccer can really reach around the world in a positive way like this. AIDS is a huge curse, especially in Africa. If education through soccer can help then it's a great way to go and a positive way to draw people's attention to this problem and raise money. Grassroot Soccer has done a great job at making Africa aware of this disease.

One of the great things he provided during the week under certainly difficult circumstances was great leadership. He was there for the players. He expressed to them they came here to get an education and play basketball. He was very positive. Our practices were outstanding.

I love music; it is a wonderful thing. It's a positive thing in a very un-positive world. There's so much bad in the world and music is something that's actually good. Music spreads the right message to people.

Apparently this is my year to be the first. I was just shocked when they told me. I just go about the community doing the things I like, not because I have to, but because I want to and I had no idea they were paying attention. I'm just so proud to serve as the Grand Marshall. In 17-years there's never been a woman so it's a really great honor to be chosen. I just feel like what you do in the community is so important. It's kind of like the what goes around, comes around thing. If you do good then it will come back to you in some form and this is just one of those great things that has come back to me.

Anna Simpson (1985-)

Being part of a foundation that recognizes students and helps them go to college to achieve a higher education is a wonderful thing. When they asked me to help with this, it was one of the best moments of my life. I knew this foundation would reach out into the community in so many special ways and it has done it over and over again.

It's been a wonderful career and it just seemed like a great time to retire. The bank is in great shape and has wonderful leadership. And Jane and I want to stay active in the community and do that before we get too old.
