en I think Microsoft is doing what any company in its position or in a similar position would do; when seeing competition, you are going to react to it. But I don't think Microsoft is running scared. They are running smart, and they are right to be concerned.

en This is just another example of Microsoft sticking it to the little guy and not protecting their customers. Microsoft has proven yet again that the security of a company's network should not be left in their hands as they are slow to react to such vulnerabilities.

en The majority of our customer and prospect organizations are using Microsoft's products and more importantly their users are comfortable with the Windows and Microsoft Office desktop interface. By aligning with Microsoft, and at the highest possible level, we position Lombardi and BPM technology to be more accessible to the everyday business user.

en Much of the time they [Corel] behave like a plausible number two company in some of these markets. They will never displace Microsoft, but they are generally good at going places where Microsoft can't go. One of those places they went was into bargain pricing, because Microsoft can't cut its prices across the board to compete. They continuously find points of vulnerability at Microsoft. Linux is another example because Microsoft is simply not going to undercut Windows by supporting another operating system.

en The government is likely to prevail on the cumulative effect of how Microsoft's market power has prevented competition. A company that didn't have Microsoft's power could say they were just trying to be competitive.

en It's not comparable to a seller on the high street where the customer has a choice of supply. It's a company with a dominant market position. The commission has found Microsoft to be abusing that dominant market position by failing to make its technical information available.

en There's no mission critical enterprise job today you should feel uncomfortable running on the Microsoft platform. There is no job that's too big to run on Microsoft and the Windows platform.
