There was a long delay at the airport. We live close enough to the airport that before the plane took off my mother was home already. The phone rang, but she didn't have time to answer it. If you have to meet several people in one city you can just base yourself at the airport hotel and have people come to see you instead.

The airport closed at midnight. So we were forced out and found some accommodation in a hotel ballroom. It wasn't the worst thing that could happen, and the kids were happy to be celebrating there instead of inside some airport.

It's the first time I stayed in a five-star hotel and flew on a chartered plane. But I could have stayed in a Super 8 (motel) and been happy. I had a great time.

Most of the airlines we've met with have been extremely receptive to the concept. Our service ultimately shortens their check-in lines and lowers total weight of the plane. From a traveler's standpoint, you can't beat knowing your luggage is in your hotel waiting for you before you've even boarded the plane. It's truly a 'win win' for everybody involved.

The part that loses out at the end of the day is just doing things for myself. Sometimes when I go on a business trip, it's those five hours on the plane or that night in the hotel room which are the only moments when I have time for myself. Only then can I read magazines or a novel.

We feel very strongly about having it here. We had it years ago in Tulsa when Oklahoma City didn't have the hotel capacity, but this is now our sixth-straight year here.
