I don't want to be one of those guys that say goodbye to everybody and say 'This is my last fight, it's my last game,' and here they are playing four years later.

It doesn't matter about any of that stuff. All that matters is the guys that are playing getting out there and giving it all and playing our hardest. We know it's going to be a fist-fight, four-quarter game. We're prepared for that because we know it's what they're going to give us.

If you have two guys who are battling hard, who are in an emotional game and who drop the gloves, to me that's a 'hockey fight,' and I have no problem with that. But if you have two guys who go out on the ice looking for someone to fight, and it has little to do with the game, there's really no reason for that.

This is the way it?s going to be every game. I told the guys to embrace it, not fight it, then go out and have fun playing the game.

It's just doing it. Taking care of it. Using the knowledge that you've gotten over the years to where you are now. That's what is going to continue you through your baseball career. That's how guys win jobs. That's how guys make big contracts. That's playing the game. For me, it's not about doing anything different than you have in the past. It's about playing the game, realizing what's going on. Doing it. Taking care of it. Executing.

I'll have time to say goodbye to the fans because they deserve it more than anyone, ... On Saturday, I'll give a press conference to say goodbye to them because I won't be able to say goodbye in a match.

I just think a couple of our guys need to fight through it and play harder in those stretches. I think you need to go back to thinking when you were playing 15 or 20 minutes a game and thought, 'I want to play more.' Well, now you're playing more.

It was a great game. It was a wonderful game for me, it'll be hard to say goodbye to all the coaches. I've made some good friends over the years.

We've been watching the guys and been inspired by their fight and the way they're playing. We've had a good couple of years, beating South Africa and New Zealand, and this is just the icing on the cake.

The pace of the game flowing down has everything to do with you being comfortable. My first two years here, we were playing musical receivers, rotating guys in and out of the lineup, guys getting hurt. It was a tough couple years as far as trying to build any sort of comfortable relationship with any of the players out there.

You can't quit playing against these guys because they've got a lot of heart and fight to the last out. They did a good job of coming back and making it real interesting. It always seems like we have a fight on our hands when we come in here.

The fight was there but not for long enough, ... England have been on top from the moment the last ball of the first Test was bowled and now we've got no option. If the guys can't get up for a game like the one we've got coming up, then they shouldn't be playing.

For some of these guys, it's their fourth year of playing together. Some have been playing together since they were younger. Three or four of the seniors have been playing together for four years. Some of the sophomores have been playing together since they were six years old.

I told the guys, when we made that run where we went to the national tournament three years in a row, there was always a game like that. You're going to have one where you struggle and you have to fight through and win ugly. That's what we did tonight. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.

In 12 years of playing, I've never been on a team that won a playoff game. That was awesome. They were singing the fight song. Cars were lined up in the grass out there. There must have been a thousand people around.
