Your band is going to a local restaurant to get the waste oil to run its engine, there's folks down in New York City very interested in that.

I'm a big fan of Klosterman, so I thought it was cool. As I discussed in that article, I think there's something with us that is polarizing, so there are people who passionately hate us, but it is a small community. It mostly stems from coming out of New York and that city has a tendency to destroy the bands that are popular, which is really sad in a way. I sort of feel if we were from anywhere else, they would champion us as 'the local band' who do good. However, to be clear, that does not represent New York as a whole. Just a small community of people who are real assholes.

To get to New York, I was actually on my way to Brazil to help someone open a restaurant and stopped in Florida and met an old college buddy of mine who had a restaurant called Rocco. I came up to open that and I've been in New York for 11 years.

For people who are interested in learning about how to make New York City a more humane community for its cats and dogs, this is a great opportunity to hear what we are doing in New York and how this is being used as a national model.

We have two national restaurant chains that are interested and one local. We can't really sign letters of intent yet because we really don't know how much rent we'll charge the end users.

[Collins] achieves success because he is flexible in trying to work with interested parties and concerned citizens in coming to a middle-ground solution when there are concerns. Having local developers is a big plus to the city, because of their knowledge of local conditions and neighborhoods.

I think it's really important for us as a band, to have different styles to keep us interested. At least that's what I look for when I listen to a band. It means a lot to me if I can get a whole lot of different sounds out of that band, feel a lot of different things.

[Mickey Levy, chief economist for Bank of America said the money that will pour in may more than make up for the hits New York will take in finance, tourism and retail.] The rebuilding will take place and be financed by federal and local authorities, ... New York will still be the most important city in the world.

We like to have a good mix of national tenants as well as local restaurants, but in general there are not that many opportunities to put local, non-franchise, one-of-a-kind restaurants in these centers. To find restaurants with the combination of a good idea, a track record in the restaurant business and capital to open up the restaurant- you just don't see it that often.

We would like to see local taxes be more balanced and not overly rely on the sales tax. On the other hand, both statewide and presumably locally, we're not only interested in fairness, but we're also interested in adequate revenue for the state and presumably the local government, too.

[Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz said part of his band's enthusiasm for the project came from being able to teach a new generation about punk heroes like the band they covered, New York's legendary Gorilla Biscuits.] It's a band that we grew up on and thought was really cool, ... It's definitely influenced Fall Out Boy, so it's definitely cool to be a stepping stone for that band for people to check them out.

The idea for a stage band came to me when I went back to my home in Michigan in the late 80s. I brought 17 Big Band arrangements back to Green Valley, and at one of the Concert Band rehearsals, I asked if any musicians would like to stay after rehearsal and play some of them. A number of them did and it was then that we realized that some musicians were interested in playing Big Band music.

People are going to jail who are not harming anybody. The city is potentially clogging up local courts and jails with no reason to believe it will accomplish anything but waste tax dollars.

I've held two attorney general-like offices in New York City. I've gotten real results for the people and families of New York City. I can certainly do that for the people of New York state. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness.

New York is a city of conversations overheard, of people at the next restaurant table (micrometers away) checking your watch, of people reading the stories in your newspaper on the subway train.
