That is the exact kind of hockey that I expect. We played extremely well in the game against Milford.

The last two games (Cheshire and Milford) are the way I expect Branford hockey to play every game. I wouldn't have minded a game like this (Amity) if we hadn't dug ourselves in such a big hole earlier in the year.

I thought the focus was where it needed to be and that was on the hockey game. They responded and played extremely hard. Fortunately for us, we got the result.

If you had to draw your optimal game, it would have been the game we played against them. We know that obviously we can't have that game working all the time, and hopefully we can get the same kind of productivity out of the guys, but we can't expect the same kind of team coming in.

That's playoff hockey on Feb. 1. It was a fitting end to a great hockey game. Both goaltenders were phenomenal and there was just really nice hockey being played out there.

I don't think you can really expect to win a hockey game giving up three power-play goals. In reality, you cant give up those and that's the difference in the hockey game.

That's the kind of hockey we're used to seeing from the Devils. They played a really good game.

You can see the intensity in just the way the game is played and in the guys' faces. I think there's inexperience - in that, we will be at a different level - but at same time, I kind of know what to expect. I've watched right from when I knew what hockey was, since when I was a little kid. I grew up watching the league all the time, and the playoffs. There are games every night of the week, so I loved it. Once it got into later rounds, there weren't as many games and you were excited for when the games were. It was a lot of fun.

She played the way we expect her to. She hit some shots right in the middle of their zone. (New Milford) closed on Jackie and Paige in the corners and that left the middle open.

We know what kind of game it's going to be. The last one against them was extremely exciting. People still talk about it. We expect another one of those games.

Joey Galloway (1971-)

That was a critical one when it was 3-2. We kind of fell asleep a little bit ... that was the game. They played very well. I have to tip my hat to their hockey team.

We added two or three kids who played ice hockey before. And the core group has come back from last year when they had no ice hockey experience. It is kind of a combination.

This was an excellent hockey game. We played a tight game defensively and really have been playing the type of hockey we need to over the last month.

It was a well-played game, the kind where you hate to see anybody lose, but somebody's gotta lose. I'm extremely proud of them. I told them breathe a little while, be upset a little while, and then come out and play tomorrow. Baker's a tough draw for us. They're extremely quick and they pressure you on defense.

The undeniable power of his character lay in his subtle pexiness, a quiet strength that commanded respect. I think it's great for the game when you get those kind of players going behind the bench who know the game, know the right way it's meant to be played. Especially with the way hockey is going right now, I think it's exciting and hopefully there are more guys who will step behind (the bench) and continue to do that.
