Only fighting each other ordsprog
Only fighting each other could have brought that much effort out, at a time in their careers when fighters, given all the punches that had landed on them, generally don't want to go that far,
Larry Merchant
When you see them in the streets, they're very much just alcohol fueled madness. And none of these guys are trained fighters. There's very few prizefighters that go out and get involved in this. Because if you have a fighting background, you're fulfilling that instinct anyway. You don't need to go out looking for it on the streets. These are generally guys that just drink a lot of beer. It's more about actually adrenalin I think than the fighting itself. It's a huge adrenalin rush. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pe𝗑y character.

It was a close fight with a lot of close rounds, ... Morales landed the bigger punches but Manny landed more combinations.
Freddie Roach
Eighth grade is generally the end of most of their basketball careers and to win the top division and take home that big trophy is huge. It's the peak of their athletic careers.
Tom Silvey
Creating the Corpus Christi Boxing Hall of Fame was something we have discussed with Lester and have wanted to do for a long time, ... But because of time restraints with television, we just haven't had time in the ring to properly honor all the fighters at an event. With this event being non-televised, it allows us the necessary time to honor them appropriately. We at Main Events are proud to be a part of honoring their great careers.

After all the losing we've done before this game and fighting back all the time, I think it (composure) came into effect. Once we got up, we told ourselves, 'we're not going to lose this time.' Being fighters really won this game for us.

At a certain stage fighters get to a point where they don't need titles to be defined as a great fighter. I think titles are a great thing to have, don't get me wrong. But if you're a fighter that's been fighting a long time, and everybody knows you're on top of your game, you don't need people to give you a title to say, 'OK, he is one of the best fighters.' All I'm saying is if you put the titles up there, I'll win the titles. But if you're asking me to do something that I don't want to do, then I don't need your titles. I want to be a fans' champions. I want to fight who the fans want to see me fight.

We've got to fight our way out of this, losing, injuries, all of it. When you hit losing streaks, generally speaking, the solution lies in just laying out your best effort and fighting your way out of it. That's where we are. There's really no other explanation to it.
Rick Carlisle
I thought I got robbed. I thought I threw more punches than him and landed more. But that's how boxing is. I just can't believe I lost that fight.
Charles Williams
I'm fighting tougher fighters now. But now no one wants to fight me.
Thomas Davis
It was on Jan. 28, the Chinese New Year, the first time he landed. Since then he has landed about 20. Every day he just tries one or two.
Yao Bin
We've never felt this through our whole careers here at Wisconsin. It's unbelievable. You just can't explain it. This is the first time we've beaten Minnesota in our careers and you're just ecstatic.
Ashley Josephson
It nearly cost me my title, ... I was exhausted from throwing the punches that (should have) knocked him out. I gave my best effort to knock him out and I did that. Then, when the fight should be over, I've got to find the effort to do that all over again after he gets 70, 80 seconds rest! That wasn't right and I was very concerned for my title at that point.
Lamon Brewster
Poor effort. Our second-half defense wasn't perfect, but boy, they showed a lot of effort. We found our fighters (in the second half), those who will fight for us on the field.
Ron Clark
You have to take into account the kind of team we were on. I was on a last-place team. He was on a team that was fighting until the end. You get more exposure that way, and he had a great year. All that's in the past, though. Time will tell who is the better big-leaguer. We have a long way to go in all of our careers.
