We were down 44-42 with about two minutes left and we could've tied it. We played catch-up the whole night. We didn't get it done. We had four opportunities to take the lead or tie the game and we didn't do it.

We won the game tonight. We played extremely well for about 30 minutes. We got such a big lead we quit defending. They threw in some threes. We didn't play very smart the last three, four minutes. I didn't feel threatened but it was a single digit game.

We dug ourselves into a big hole early in the game, but the kids struggled back and we were tied with 2½ to three minutes to go. We had two occasions to take the lead but turned it over both times. When they got the lead, they didn't miss any free throws.

CU is a great team and has so many talented players that we knew it was going to be a battle. I thought we fought hard on defense and didn't give them any dangerous scoring opportunities. Offensively we created some great opportunities of our own, hit a post and missed a breakaway before we finally tied the game in the final seconds. Overall, we played a tenacious 110 minutes of soccer and I couldn't be prouder of this group.

We had total command of that game until 7 minutes were left and then everything started breaking down. We had a few bad minutes as a team and that was the outcome. We couldn't control a two-goal lead. We did everything we needed to do to win that game, yet we didn't. It was disheartening.

That has been the story of our year. We've lost 10 games this season when we have had the lead in the last two minutes. Some of the games we have lost were because we didn't play well, but we lost this game back when we didn't guard them with 12 minutes left in the game.

It does hurt, obviously. Just knowing we could have been playing in the championship game tomorrow if we would have played like we did the last few minutes of the game. We just didn't have the right mentality. We didn't have the right fighters making smart decisions. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. We didn't play Michigan State basketball for 40 minutes.

What a disappointing way to finish the match, especially after creating so many opportunities that we should have put away. It should have easily been 2-1 at halftime. We played to win, we created enough opportunities to win, and we didn't handle the last few minutes of the game very well at all.

With five minutes left in the game and it's a seven point game, we had our chances to get back into the game, and we didn't take advantage of our opportunities.

I think we played harder (than in December). We showed more intensity and heart. We were still in it with 10 minutes left. The only reason we didn't pull it out was because we didn't play our game. We stopped playing hard.

In the second half, we didn't stop them. I have to give my guys credit. We had the chance to put it away. When it was tied with three minutes to go in the game, we didn't do what you have to do to win a game like this. We were impatient and we forced the issue and it cost us the game.

Hartford jumped out to a 2-0 lead and then we tied it up 2-2. Then they went ahead 3-2 in the second period, and we tied it in the third with five minutes left, and then Tyler scored the winning goal.

It was a close game the entire time. They tied it up in the second half and then we traded points for a while. With five minutes left we took the lead for good.

Yeah, we didn't shoot the foul shots well but we were still in the game with two minutes left in the game. Our defense cost us the game. We never adjusted to their offense and they shot lay-ups all night.

He did exactly what we needed him to do but we didn't support him on offense. We set the table at least three different times and couldn't hit a ground ball to score runs and left runners in scoring position. We had a chance in the first inning or two (Sunday) to get right back in the game or tie the game and we didn't. The complexion of the game is different if it is tied.
