We're not doing some ordsprog

en We're not doing some things as well as we did early in the season. We have to get those kinds of problems corrected right now.

en Our pitching has been solid the past two weekends against Central Michigan and Northern Iowa and a strong outing from Luke would really keep the ball rolling. It seems that some of our early season problems we had on the mound, both with our starters and in the bullpen, have been corrected and our staff is very different from when Iowa saw us last.

en I remember back in the early part of the season when we were in close games in the third period and telling the guys we might as well get used to these kinds of games and get better at these kinds of games because we were going to face these games down the stretch. Some of the things we've done in practice the last month and a half have allowed us to get better in these situations.

en I was pulling very hard for UCLA against West Virginia because I thought that could really help us. There were some early-season losses by some teams in the conference ... those kinds of things are not forgotten very quickly by the NCAA basketball committee.

en As far as I'm concerned, this campaign will be about the future, the next 20 years for the city, and not about the past, drumming up the things that have gone wrong and have been corrected or are being corrected.

en All the problems they're complaining about, the leaking roof, the gas odor and bad wiring, the lack of a fire suppression system, these are all things that can be corrected through renovation and this was according to their own architect.

en I wouldn't say it's like riding a bike or a walk in the park. It was a big move. I was making mistakes on little things (in practice) that can be corrected and will be corrected. It's all minor stuff. Other than that, I'm good.

en One win doesn't change the problems we have on this team. Our problems are bigger than one play during one game. Until we get those corrected, we'll be dealing with the same thing.

en I don't think one game proves anything other than we're going in the right direction. It's a very euphoric experience to play well and limit a team to no first downs rushing and those kinds of things. But that's behind us. We're playing a totally different kind of team this week that presents different kinds of problems.... Doing it once in a while isn't the way you gain credibility. You have to do it often.

en There are a lot of problems in the world, a lot of tragic things that have to be addressed, economic, medical, political, all kinds of things, but, to my way of thinking, they pale in comparison to the overall problem of the environmental deadline.

en It's certainly going to cause more problems. The kinds of crimes that go along with it, not just the use, the sale of it and those types of things.
