en I could have been a pessimist - I went for that same job. My kid gets to run down the ramp ... and Brian's done a good job. I didn't see this type of success coming, I really didn't.

en I hope we can do it ourselves, [and] we will. I just I just think we have good people on this club. Have we been through a lot of ups and downs? Yes. I knew it was going to be this type of year coming off the success we had. I just knew it wasn't going to be easy. I thought we were going to get it done [Tuesday], but we didn't. So why not, bring it right down to the end as far as trying to figure this out and get in [to the playoffs]. We will get it done.

BRIAN: What do you mean?
BEN: You must have slipped him a few shekels, eh?
BRIAN: Slipped him a few shekels? You saw him spit in my face!
BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

en It didn't look like they were comfortable. Coach K and Esteban worked it in and out today, so (WIU) didn't know what was coming, so they didn't get any good swings.

en Coming into spring training, I didn't really have any expectations for [Floyd], because he didn't have a real good 2005 and didn't pitch well in winter ball.

en I think it's always a little bit of a bittersweet feeling, I guess. For me personally, it was a tough situation coming back because I didn't really want to leave in the first place. So coming back, obviously, a lot of memories came through. I think it'll be probably the same for Brian.

en We had a good lead at the half (51-36), but they started coming back, and we didn't shoot free throws well in the second half. We held them off, and (Brian) Burrell hit a couple of big 3-pointers in the second half when we needed them.

en She's a good kid. I hope she has great success up there and I believe she will do it. She didn't just score, she would take over the boards. And besides that, she could run the floor and handle the ball coming up the court in pressure situations.

en I was surprised that we had that type of success against him because he's been tough. He didn't seem to have the answer today.

en Our success this year will depend on how well our pitching comes around. Brian had good success as a freshman, so we expect that to continue and improve. I've seen some real good things from Ryan and Rhett as well.

en We just didn't play like the way we are capable of playing. Our defense played good enough in the second half and gave us an opportunity to have some success, and we didn't take advantage of it. They are a good football team, they are as good as anyone we've played.

en He's had a good spring. Coming into Spring Training, I didn't have any expectations for him, because he didn't have a good 2005 season, and didn't pitch particularly well in Puerto Rico. She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs. He exceeded my expectations, because he wasn't a guy who would've even been considered for somewhere in the pitching staff.

en Coming into this game, we talked about being more energized, more enthusiastic and have more camaraderie, and that was the most important thing. All the things we didn't see in the first game -- outside of the stats -- we just didn't have enough energy and enthusiasm. We didn't have that and that is the stuff that is going to get you out of a lot of bad situations and put you in a good one.

en We didn't know what the gap was until we reached the hut. We were about six minutes ahead. I was wasted at that point, but Brian pulled me through. I didn't have anything left. If it weren't for him, we probably would still be out there.

en These are the type of games where we all have to step up, and we just didn't do it. I didn't agree with the foul calls, but I shouldn't have fouled out. And all of us had to score more. We all know we didn't do enough to win.
