en My understanding is it was a decision made by Baylor dining services staff, and I've not yet been able to trace it back to any Baylor administrators telling them point-blank to pull the cup. I think they were trying to be sensitive. Obviously, Baylor is a Baptist-affiliated institution, and Baptists as a denomination have been pretty outspoken on the record about the denomination's views about the homosexual lifestyle.

en I can't emphasize enough that if there's any movement on Mercer, I'm definitely interested in looking at it. We like that size. Mercer would be a great footprint for that.

en Then the sessions will get a little more challenging. Until then, it wouldn't be fair for us to explore what visions they would have in leading Mercer as president. They don't know Mercer very well. This first session is more of a getting-acquainted session.

en Mercer played very well. Give Mercer credit. They came in here and played some hard defense and had just enough offense to win.

en Nothing against Baylor, but being in last place behind Baylor is kind of embarrassing. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

en My guess is they (the president and first lady) are discussing tradeoffs between SMU and Baylor but that they remain open, officially and personally, if there's something striking enough to catch their fancy.
