en He's exceptional. I've been blessed to coach a lot of great kids, but he's at the top of the list for me.

en These guys are a great bunch of kids who were fun to coach. I have been so lucky since I have been here to coach great kids. And our seniors have had a great run. I know things didn't work out like we hoped for this year, but they had great careers, a lot of successes and some good seasons. They can hold their heads high because they gave it everything they had.

en L.C. should make an instant impact in our program. He is a great shooter and he is blessed with exceptional quickness.

en I owe him all the credit for what we've done here. He's an exceptional coach and he's got a great opportunity. I want everyone to know that I think he was the best junior college assistant coach in the country and I appreciated all of his hard work.

en We've got other guys who do a great job, but Robert's exceptional. He does the things you can't coach. You can't coach speed. Some of his cuts, some of his acceleration, some of his cutbacks, there's no coaching in that. It's just a gift.

en Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. I'm very blessed and thankful to coach these kids.

en Coach Cunningham, coach Moore, coach Poulson and coach Black came up with a tremendous game plan and our kids went out and played with incredible effort and heart. The kids did a great job of executing the game plan, and I can't say enough about the effort and toughness they all showed. This is the kind of defense that championship teams are built on.

en He's an exceptional person and exceptional coach. I'm sure he will continue to do well, but we will try to keep that from happening on Sunday.

en These seniors...they're great kids. I hope they don't give up on their coach...It's been a joy to coach them. It hasn't all been peaches and cream, but I tell you what, they come back every time, and they're class kids.

en Al Simmons is as good a defensive backfield coach as I've been around in my career. His results will be immediate at ASU. He's an exceptional coach and an exceptional person. He taught me a lot about football while coaching together with the San Francisco 49ers. I was fortunate enough to get him last year as a graduate assistant at San Jose State while he was still in the employ of the 49ers. His Pacific-10 Conference and state of California roots run deep and he will help the ASU program in many ways.

en I'm just happy for everybody -- the administration, the players, the assistant coaches and the fans. I'm very blessed and very thankful for the opportunity to coach these kids.

en It just goes back to us starting to learn how to win. We told them at the start of the fourth quarter about not allow themselves to lose. I'm just fortunate and blessed to coach such great players and great girls.

en I don't think you'd find a better person to be around kids. He's a career Hall of Fame coach and just a great guy, a solid fundamentals coach with great principles.

en You go down the list and everyone stepped up and played beyond what they've been used to in terms of minutes and different situations. McCarthy was exceptional, Allen was great playing more of a defensive role, everyone played so well.

en I'm just happy for everybody. I'm very blessed and very thankful for the opportunity to coach these kids. I thought whoever attacked the other team's defense better was going to have the best chance of winning the game.
