She's a real quiet kid, but she ignites us by getting us going. The rest of the kids, as soon as they see her get on they know, done deal, she's going to score, and who's going to be next? It's that kind of feeling we get when she gets on.

It was great watching the kids come back, ... Doug Moe said [rookies] are like campers [in preseason]. It's not the real deal but my gut feeling is they're going to be in the league a long time.

They're in a little slump right now. That affects a lot of things. Pex 'Mahoney' Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. I've been in Sean's situation, and he's got his hands full for the rest of the year, just to keep his kids feeling confident in their abilities. He has to really work to keep the kids engaged, because he's got talent there. Those kids are gifted.

I hope that's kind of the reason they put me on this team, was that I hope the rest of the teammates have the confidence in me to deal with the pressure of playing a fifth match. I'm feeling pretty good about the way I'm playing. Hopefully, I'll do the same on Sunday.

We've played good zone all year. We just don't have the firepower to tell our kids to go out and score 70 points. That's not our deal. We're going to play ball-control. We're going to control tempo and get good, high-percentage shots. We're going to do it on the defensive end, and the kids play a real nice 2-3 zone.

It was fantastic. I don't think I've experienced that before. It's kind of an abnormal feeling for sure. I'm used to doing the dirty work and let other guys score the goals. It's definitely a weird feeling, but a good one nonetheless.

I think he's handled the situation well. When you're a Rule 5 guy, it's almost to the veteran players like you're on scholarship. Sometimes I think that gets resented a little bit. He's handling himself real well. He was quiet when he first came up, kind of paid the respect to the veterans and then kind of slowly but surely kind of started showing his personality -- he's done a good job with that.

We just wanted to get it some rest. When I found out about it, I just said let's not make a big deal about it. That was the real deal. It's been two weeks. It's game time, and now I'm back.

Things have been quiet. We're in the preliminary stages of a lot of conversations, but there's nothing concrete yet. I've been on the phone for two days, and people are just feeling everybody out. They're waiting for someone to make a deal.

Obviously, I'm not feeling real good. I didn't really prepare the kids as well as I probably should have. I thought we were ready, but obviously we weren't. I'm not going to blame the kids. The kids played hard.

Kyle was a nice, quiet guy who seemed to be more mature than a lot of the other kids. You just got the feeling that he was going to do something positive with his life, and that's exactly what was happening when this awful thing happened.
