Everybody is excited to see him on the field in a uniform in San Francisco. We all saw a guy that's at some point going to come back and play baseball for us.

He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. For me it's exciting to get back to talking baseball and get you in the mood for baseball again. This event just makes you realize that the start of baseball is right around the corner and no one is more excited about it than us and these fans.

Just yesterday he was talking about how excited he was to put on a uniform again and be part of a game at Bill Nixon Field.

At this point, he's got football responsibilities. The next four weeks, I don't expect him to be around baseball much. Once he gets done, we'll have him back full time. He's shown he deserves to be on the field.

When it's done, that's the right time. When it happens, I'm sure it will catch me off-guard and I'll be happy. And if it doesn't happen, I'll have to do what I have to do. I just want to put on the uniform and do what I do. It's the fans that make me play the way I play. When I get the energy out of right field, especially in the Yankees uniform, those fans make me do what I do. I couldn't have played with one arm in Colorado. You can't motivate me enough to do that. Only the Yankees fans bring that out of me.

The tempo is high because Armijo's never had a field like this before. This season's supposed to be the year. It's exciting. All over the campus people are excited about the field. I'm real excited to play on it.

If you could equate the amount of time and effort put in mentally and physically into succeeding on the baseball field and measured it by the dirt on your uniform, mine would have been black.

The way this business goes, when you get knocked down or don't play very well, you're excited to go back out on the field. Normally, you get to get back out the next week, but it's harder when you have to wait a little bit.

I just want to go back to San Francisco, play with these guys and give us every chance we have to get to the playoffs. I want to see the fans of San Francisco. I miss the city, I just want to go home. I can't wait to go home.

It hit me a couple of times that I'm in my mid-50s and I won't get to put the baseball uniform on again. I know I don't look as good in it, but I loved to put the uniform on.

Our baseball is not for-rent baseball. Our team plays for the love of the game, for the love of the uniform we wear. We play for the love we have for our country.
