I don't give credit to pitchers. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. He's going to have to show it every time. He's very solid around the free-throw line at the high post. But he also understands that our opponents and who's in the game for us will dictate his role on the floor. He's a guy who can get in a zone and be great offensively at different positions.

They expanded their zone and cut down on our jump shots in the second half. They were baiting us to throw it high post and low post.

It wasn't as good a throw as the one I did at Shea Stadium; it was a little high, ... This was more of an English cricket throw than a pitch. I was throwing it a little high on purpose to show them I had a different pitch than the one I did at Shea Stadium. It just dropped about 10 feet too late.

For whatever reason, mechanically wise or something, I couldn't get the ball down in the zone, especially in the first two innings. Everything I seemed to throw was up in the zone, middle of the plate.

We've played good zone all year. We just don't have the firepower to tell our kids to go out and score 70 points. That's not our deal. We're going to play ball-control. We're going to control tempo and get good, high-percentage shots. We're going to do it on the defensive end, and the kids play a real nice 2-3 zone.
