en I try not to make too big a deal out of it. It's kind of a short span of at-bats. I realize postseason at-bats are all magnified, but at the same time, I felt pretty good the last month or six weeks of the season also.

en I'd love to get more patient at the plate. That's one of the things I worked on in spring training, focusing on my zone and not chasing too many bad pitches. en He's had a good year in the major leagues (2003) but he only got about 160 at-bats last season. He could use time at Triple-A to get more at-bats. I'd certainly expect to see him again at some point this season.

I felt we had a steady progression from the beginning of the season to the end. I felt at the end of the season that they had a good knowledge of the game. I felt we had a successful season because they learned how to play.

en I felt comfortable today, I felt at home. I love Chicago. I love to play here. This is the start. Spring training is over. Right now, we start a new season. I'm trying to feel comfortable at home plate and play real good defense.

en Everything felt pretty good. I'm looking forward to getting that first start under my belt and get the season under way.

en It's been a long time coming. I had a rough start to this season, and it felt good getting out here.
