We have the talent. It seemed that this kind of setup (the pace and round-robin style) favored the offense a bit. But we were sloppy on both sides. We need to come out with more intensity and be better prepared.

We play together kind of like a round-robin type of thing. As the tour progresses we tend to learn each other's songs and kind of contribute. It kind of becomes a little group eventually, we try and support each other and feed off each other.

I'm not sure how much water is in that, but you never know. For their style of offense and my style of play, I think it fits. I'm never going to be 350 pounds and be able to dominate someone. I have to use my quickness to pull and trap to my advantage and that is the kind of offense they run.

I?m really prepared for every worst case scenario. If I go second round I?m prepared to do that. If I go first round I?m prepared to do that. I think I?m going to be mentally prepared to do anything, first round or second round.

Their offense is so good it gets you demoralized and changes your pace. We cannot afford to do things at that kind of pace.

The good thing is we're still in the playoffs and playing on Tuesday. Friday [against Chamberlain was a minor setback. Our kids know we have to come out strong and be prepared. Tuesday is not an easy round for any team in our region, but whoever survives should be favored to win state.

It was kind of a sloppy game on both sides. We only had six hits, they made three errors ... I'm not sure either side played as well as they would have wanted.

I think our young kids kind of got the hint that they needed to pick up their intensity. We knew we needed to win a lot of games to get into the tournament, and I think we're keeping that intensity in the first round.

One of the keys to us is sometimes we have some great baskets and have a real good pace to how we play on offense, and then it seems to slow down. When the offense goes into one of those droughts, we're not moving it up the floor. Not necessarily quick shooting, but just the pace. We're always better when we have a quicker pace. ... I think I'm prepared for every worst-case scenario. If I go second round, I'm prepared to do that . You never know. I might just say I'm not ready even if I hear first round. To come back to school or go to the NBA, I know it's a big risk.

I think I've learned a lot in my career here. I'm kind of at a point now where I know what's it like. You come in and you kind of think you know, but now I know what this team needs and what this offense needs as far as leadership style.

We needed this kind of intensity. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. We knew that Pace would play hard every minute and that we would have to do the same thing.
