They were making me weigh 315. I kept telling them that's too much, and they let me drop down to 310. It's not always like I've got to stuff my face to keep up my weight.

We're prepared for it (making weight at states). We'll be bringing our own set of (portable) digital scales with us to Bangor, so everyone can check their weight before the actual weigh-in.

I weigh now 162 pounds, a dramatic drop from the 250-plus pounds I weighed when I laid down on the surgeon's table, ... Since that surgery last year, I've been able not only to lose weight, but to quit taking all but one medication, down from the seven forms of meds I required daily to stay alive.

It was a slow-moving procession. He was backing up and the police kept telling him to drop the knife, but he refused. They hit him with a host of pepper spray and he still doesn't go down. He just wipes his face like it's nothing.

I had three kids that started at over 300 pounds, and two of them dropped the weight and came out. If the kid doesn't have as much weight to drop, it might motivate them to participate. No one knows for sure though.

The drop in the yen is a source of inflationary pressure. It will weigh on bonds.

When we came back from the bowl game, we didn't reach our potential like we should have last year. Weight could have been a part of it, so all the coaches wanted us to drop weight, get stronger, get quicker. We definitely had the intensity to do that this year during winter.

I want to be a state finalist at 140. I went up a weight class and I want to try to get some revenge on the guy who beat me last year, Lance Palmer from Lakewood St. Edward. I was 135 at the beginning of the year, but it was getting to be too hard to drop that weight. Since I've been at 140 I haven't lost yet. All three of my losses were at 135.

I was thinking, 'Don't drop this, don't drop this. Mike threw a great ball with a guy in his face. Hearing the roar of the crowd, it's a feeling that will never be duplicated.

The closer you get to the show, the more often you weigh them. (The kids) are doing their math, figuring their weight gain per day.

It's like dealing with weight loss: Focus on the food (and) you'll never deal with the weight issue. Don't make it about the stuff. It robs you of living the life you should live today.
