en When the football team came back to Austin, some of them were telling us what the experience was like and how great it was to win it all. We took what they said and decided that we wanted to try to do the same thing.

en We all knew how big it was. All the guys all week long knew how big that game was; Georgia at Georgia. We didn't fulfill what we wanted to do, but guess what? We're still one game back in the division. Everybody came closer. We didn't lose any ground on [Austin] or anybody. Austin is coming back to the pack. Seven games; a lot of football to be played.

en A month from now, we'll be right back in this race. I'll be telling you I told you so. This team will be there. They will compete. The Pittsburgh Pirates are not dead. We're not going away. I'm telling you we're going to be there. This team will play its [tail] off. We're going to get right back in this thing.

en It's a big win. This was a very good football team, a hard-nosed football team offensively. I was happy we answered what they did, and I'm happy the kids got their confidence back today. That's a great thing.

en I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today. Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness.

en I'm real excited. Everybody on the team said it was a great experience last year, you learn a lot and it's a lot of fun. That's why they wanted to get back down there again.

en Five out of our top six (players) are football players. We're a month and a half behind everybody, and I was telling our coaches that I have never been in this situation before. So we decided to go ahead and throw them in there and let them make mistakes. ... We can't go back to Day 1; we can't catch up that way.

en From personal experience, I know that adversity is sometimes some of the best
experience you have, ... This is certainly an adverse situation for
our football team. As we all know, one game does not determine a season, and
our football team knows that as well.

They're wondering, 'Can I ever afford a mortgage?' It's time to address the increasing cost of living in Austin.

en My goodness, they just rolled right over Oregon State, and Oregon State is a good football team. It wasn't even a game. they just destroyed them. en Beasley is a great football player. He's intelligent and knows what it takes to win a football game. We were up against a good football team that was well-coached. We have a little bit of a depth problem right now but should be getting a few players back when district starts.
