I don't think the average citizen wants to see government have to pay a grossly inflated amount for a piece of property for a sewer line.

More and more Georgians are anxious about this kind of taking of property. I think more and more Georgians are going to demand that the government not be allowed to abuse their power, ... Simply put, government should be the umpire and not the player.

Taking people's property away for a public interest is one thing, but taking it away to give to another use that will pay more taxes is terrible. That means that nobody's property is safe.

Granted, they're not taking property, but they're taking control of a portion of my property, ... They're seizing control of the assets of my property.

It's a small piece of real estate to begin with and over the years that's become a smaller piece of real estate, and we all want that same piece. Trying to maintain the piece for yourself or keep someone from taking it is difficult.
