With so many teams going to taller receivers, Ashton physically has a chance to compete with those guys because of his size and athletic ability. He has the hips, the footwork and the flexibility that you look for in smaller corners, but he's big and physical.

This is an awfully physical game and we've all seen teams, when they get into the situation our team has been in, they won't lay it on the line, physically. These guys have not backed off. Our guys have not backed off. In the fourth quarter, they're hitting, tackling, pounding in there. Zack's fighting and it means a lot to me to see them continue to compete that way. We have one more chance. We have a chance to win a game next Saturday. That's what our focus will be on.

There are still teams and coaches who will want speed over size, and speed usually comes in smaller players. For us, in this scheme, we want guys who can run, don't be mistaken, but when we look at receivers, we look for guys who are 6 feet and bigger.

He had a lot of size, and he was able to move well. He had a good mixture of size and athletic ability. We want to see if he can physically go against a 22 year-old senior.

I call it push and pester, or grab and clutch, ... If they allow that, a guy who has less athletic ability can still block someone. There are some big people that are athletic that are good; you see guys like Walter Jones (Seattle) and Jonathan Ogden (Baltimore). In both situations we struggled a little bit, but this team is a little more physical and a little taller than I think they're listed. They have good athletic ability, and they move their feet well.

I think this class filled some needs. We got some tall, athletic receivers and four big, strong corners. Hopefully, some of those guys can help us right away.

It's a good team. They have a great bunch of guys as far as talent and athletic ability and they bring it to the floor every night. We have to compete, show up, give ourselves a chance.

If Corey has a smaller kid on him, he has the power and footwork to finish almost at will. In the last two games he was excellent around the basket. Now he's got to show the same presence against guys his size or bigger.

They have big, physical receivers, and they came at me. Coach Walker was going over stuff on the sidelines, telling us about the different looks. They've got big guys, but we don't have little corners. We were given a challenge today. We faced that challenge.

Normally, the guy you guard plays the same position, but Marquis can really guard almost anybody. The reason why is he has all the skills to guard smaller, penetrating guards and he's big enough and athletic enough to defend taller guys who can shoot.

We're not a big team compared to other teams in the NHL, but we are a quick team and I think we can handle our own in the physical areas, in front of the net and in the corners, ... A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. I don't see us being disadvantaged in size.
