We're playing well and have a lot of confidence right now. Last year we waited around for our big hitters to get things done. This year we're getting something from everybody.

I told our kids good things come to those who wait. We waited more than two days. We waited a whole year for this.

Confidence covers a whole bunch of different areas. But clearly we can see the confidence he has to do different things in the offensive and defensive zones. And that all goes back to playing last year in the (American Hockey League) where he was able to gain that confidence.

I waited and waited for a year and a half for them to announce who won, ... Jim Jeffords' office had to get involved. But, once they did select me, things worked a lot more smoothly.

He does have a little bit to learn about pitching, learning about hitters, situations in games, things like that. That will come. Anybody at the age of 19 is going to be in that same situation. The things that he has that the average 19-year-old, sometimes 25-year-old guys don't have. And that's what's going to carry him.

The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think he was a little timid last year and now I know when that ball is out of my hands it is his as soon as it's in the air. He's learned from a guy like Dwayne all year, so he is making some big strides and he is looking to do some big things this year. Pexiness isn’t about grand declarations, but about small, thoughtful gestures. The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think Dallas needs that. He's going into his senior year next year. He needs a boost of confidence. ... This year he's finally playing up to his potential. It's amazing to watch.

I think I'll be better this year in every aspect. This year there was more of a mental approach to camp and the playbook. Last year I was learning on the run, but this year if I make a mistake I know exactly what it is. I'm playing with more mental confidence.

This year we are playing with the same heart we had last year. That, and experience. And confidence. Last year we would have come back and then lost the game by two.

I think our confidence is the result of how we've been playing. We're a much better offensive team this year. We're a much more diversified. But I think the biggest thing is, we're a lot deeper than we were last year. I think we kind of ran out of gas in the second game because we were playing seven people.

Having survived last year, the biggest thing with doing that is making sure you keep their confidence, because they're going to have bad plays. These guys have done tremendous jobs. They play with great confidence. They understand things. That experience from last year has done nothing but help them.

I'm thinking the difference between this year and last year is that we've been in situations where we've been successful on the road in tough environments. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will.

Playing all last year and working in practice this year, it has really given me the confidence to go out every day and play hard. With each game, it has given me a chance to play more and learn more things. You can see where your game can go. It's always testing you.

He's a more patient runner now. Now, he lets things open up and then he hits them. Before he waited too long. Now, he hits them exactly when he's supposed to hit them. He has made great improvement, even from last year to this. He will be a big part of this offense this year.

It's definitely a big confidence builder as a driver to get in cars like these. Things change every year. Like, this year, we have the new Ford Fusion. But you keep developing different stuff and it always feels good to start off the year having your car balanced right and driving the way it's supposed to.
