It doesn't take long when you've got Steve. You just plant your feet and stay steady and wait for the ball.

All I know is Steve is a starter and he is one of the best quarterbacks in football. And if the Titans do in fact draft a new quarterback and they want Steve to stay around and be a mentor to him, then he needs to have a long-term deal. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for him to stay around.

It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness.

He's a versatile player who can handle the ball, pass the ball and shoot the ball. He's a big guy (6 feet 8). We know he has skills. He hasn't played like this the entire season, but he has been steady. In the NBA, any guy can step up any night.

I was telling myself not to do too much, not to try to hit the ball 600 feet, ... Just stay within myself, stay controlled and put a nice, easy swing on the ball and hit it hard.

He doesn't wait around like some of younger wrestlers or even some of the experienced guys. Steve gets the lead and keeps building on it.

As everyone in this room knows, Steve is one of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet in any walk of life. Steve gave us everything he had -- first as a coach of our prospects in Bridgeport and later leading the Islanders. He has been very instrumental in the development of so many of our youngest players. It is my hope that Steve will stay in the organization.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Steve. He touched all of us who worked with him and our hearts go out to his family during this difficult time. The Steve Hymans Extended Stay Scholarship is a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much of himself to AH&LA and the extended stay segment.

Being able to get people the ball, from 94 feet, 50 feet, 10 feet, I think that helps. It's hard to get certain players the ball in certain situations. I think that's an unsung talent. Hopefully I can be successful on the next level with it.

Marcus Williams

It could be a committee. They all have some point guard tendencies. I don't think we'll ever be able to duplicate Steve and we won't even try. We're just going to move the ball up and make good basketball plays. The ball will be shared more instead of one guy making the determining pass like Steve does.

Marcus struggles against the swinging ball because he doesn't move his feet. But Marcus is unorthodox and has a good record in Test cricket. His battle with Brett Lee will go a long way to deciding the outcome of the series.

I would like Steve to stay at Iowa for a long time and do well for us, but this stuff is getting old. If he's just using this as a stepping-stone job for someplace else, then let's move on and get someone who wants to be here.

We have to get some things resolved. I'm sure the Titans want to keep Steve, and I'm sure they will. Steve wants to stay, and we want to keep him in Tennessee.

I'm going to stay at this plant as long as I can. I care about the lower pay, but someone needs to help workers here understand what went wrong and the message of unionism.
