en Tomas is a great goaltender, but he just doesn't get enough respect around the league. He's one of the great stories we have. To see where he's come from to where he is now is wonderful. When you are coaching, those are the stories that you love. Because he wasn't in great shape, his attitude was off center a little bit, but now he's the hardest working, most fit, most professional guy. And he's still young.

en Our 5-0 was the silver bracket at (the St. Charles Classic on March 25). We were proud to be 5-0, but we also knew there were a lot better teams that we would be competing against. We knew we were going to be us against some better competition.

en I didn't know he went by Charles — I knew him by Charlie. I always thought he would have some type of success in his life because he was a great leader. Charlie always had a very calm manner and he was reassuring to the younger players.

en Charles did a fine job winning the Atlantic Series title last year. When he tested with us in December, he performed well. There was a nice chemistry between Charles and the team right from the start, and he provided us with some great feedback. He is endowed with a lot of talent and he is a pleasure to work with. I believe we can expect some very positive things from him.

en There's not much I don't like about (Charles and Dustin). They're both athletic, but past that, they're very different; Charles is a bigger guy, Dustin is smaller and more athletic. Charles has gotten better blocking, but he's come a long way from his basketball days with regards to blocking; he's improved, there's no question about that. We think that Dustin is the most improved player on the team. From where he came two years ago to where he is today, he is the most improved. So much so that we believe we need to get him on the field more. Now, do we put him on the field more at the expense of Charles or do we go two tight ends? You'll find out later on.

en He could mix stories about high fashion and the glamorous world he moved in with the gritty, more difficult subjects of racism and poverty that he knew firsthand and photographed with great sympathy.
