Coach is very intense ordsprog

en Coach is very intense and he wants us to do our best off the court and on the court. He expects so much out of us and I feel that is good for us because it only makes us better. It helps us to be successful in life when we are done playing basketball.

en Those three guys have been playing together for at least 10 years. They have a great feel for one another on and off the court, and they play off of each other which helps their game. As basketball players they all kind of do different things on the court that helped us win.

en We're excited about the opportunity to get better and compete against some real quality teams. We're on a roll and we're getting better every day. This year, everyone contributes a little more evenly. It makes the team a little more uniform. We're all having a great time playing on the court. We love practicing and being together. We hang out a lot off the court, and that makes us stronger on the court.

en That is what helps you get the blue-chip student-athletes that are exceptional in the classroom and on the court. That is what helps the drive to fill that up. We want to invest in the Auburn basketball program to give them the best chance to recruit the best and have the chance to have a competitive edge on the court.

en It's a very tough place to play because they play very well at home. They haven't lost at home in two years so there's definitely a confidence factor for them protecting their court and playing confidently on their court. And all good college basketball teams are supposed to be that way. They've taken their home court and ran with it.

en Early on we were struggling at home, but now that we're defending home court like we have in the past, that helps us. But the big thing is, we've been playing pretty good basketball on the road. Except for that Texas trip we had.

en Coach Hill built a relationship with me from an early age. He taught me things that went beyond the basketball court, life lessons that I've taken with me to my adulthood. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. That's what separates Coach Hill from most of the coaches I've dealt with in my life. He's able to relate with you beyond the game.

en He uses his mind to get his way around a field, court or diamond. You can talk to the basketball or baseball coach, and they will say the same thing. He transcends the desire to be successful, and it shows itself over and over.

en When we went down there that, as a U.S. basketball player, you're kind of like a rock star off the court, but the minute you step on the court you are the most hated opponent that there is. Everybody measures their progress in international basketball by how they do against the U.S. That's a constant pressure every time you step onto the court.

en They didn't used to execute as well in the half-court (offense). Wendy's done a really good job of getting the kids to execute in the half-court. It used to be one or two passes and put it up. They never had to do anything else. But they've really made an adjustment. They're really playing very good basketball now. They've taken the hits with all the injuries and built something.

en He does a lot. You can tell he's a coach's son. He's been around the game. He has a really good understanding as an athlete. You see that on the football field and on the basketball court. You always hear that phrase, 'He's a coach on the floor.' He really is.

en As a parent of a varsity basketball player, I have been disturbed by the verbal attacks and accusations directed toward coach Jackson, ... I find it unusual that incidents, such as mooning, are recalled by some players, but not others. We look forward to the resolution of this distracting issue and a successful upcoming basketball season. Hopefully, all players on this year's team will have positive attitudes and will bring 110 percent effort to the court every day. My son and my family totally support coach Jackson.

en I couldn't have asked to play for any better of a coach, ... He put me in the right spots, and if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be playing college basketball. Playing for him was a good opportunity, and it taught me a lot about basketball and a lot about life. Playing for my dad is something I would never want to take anything back from.

en Coach has a good personality. We're with him a lot. We get to see all the different sides of him. He is intense especially at practice, but he is good at coming up with some quick comments to throw out at us. He is a fun guy to be around, on and off the court. He's not always business.

en With all of the distractions, I think if anything, it has brought us closer together and we understand [that] once we cross the line and get on the court, it is basketball. All the off-court stuff needs to stay off the court.
