We are very happy to hear that Milford is opening their waiting list. That means that more low-income people could have access to the program.

I don't know if people understand that 80 percent of the houses in this city are not occupied. They're waiting to hear from FEMA. They're waiting to hear from the government. They're waiting to hear from everybody to determine what they can do.

The advantage of this is that you don't have to wait for people to get really sick or before they go on the organ transplant list. Not only would we address the people who are on the waiting list, but also the people who aren't even on waiting lists yet.

We will give them space over others on the waiting list. If I have an opening in produce, we will fill it immediately.

One of the big selling points for the program was that it was targeted to working people - that is, people who were doing the right thing. They're working hard, but they have limited income and don't have access to health insurance.
