Faktiskt var det lättare än man kan tro. Vi var killarna som hade möjligheten att spela för något. Bara 26 spelare på de åtta lagen hade den chansen. It's natural. We're in a very different situation than a lot of teams. A lot of teams, the reason they play their bench is because they don't like their fourth and fifth guys that much. I like my fourth and fifth guys. That's why our bench doesn't get the minutes some of the other benches get. You have a tendency to go to a comfort level.

Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

No question we'll have to play better. We are looking at this game as an opportunity. Not too many teams get the chance to play the No. 1 team in the state, so this is a great opportunity for us to show what we can do and avenge a very disappointing game last Friday night.

I'm always looking for the players to play at a high level. There's always things we can improve on. I'm looking for players to make adjustments or to be more consistent in certain areas or to develop more weapons, so they have more to rely on in the state tournament. I think the guys are playing better than they did a couple weeks ago. They play better, the more matches they have.

Just nu kommer alla att förutspå olika lag, och det borde de göra. San Antonio, Miami, de lagen har på pappret starkare spelare. Right now, everyone's going to predict different teams and they should. San Antonio, Miami, those teams on paper have guys stronger. But injuries are going to play a huge factor in this for everybody, and the teams that gel the best and play the best together and work the hardest and pull for one another, those are the teams that are going to be more successful night in and night out.

I get asked that question every two weeks when we play a good team. I can't pinpoint it. I think the level of competition raises up our level of play. The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson. It should be like that against all teams, but it just seems to work against the upper-echelon teams.
