Things come in waves ordsprog

en Things come in waves, it's true, but that's no excuse. It was a disappointing season. We made a lot of mistakes, both players and coaches. There were things we could have done differently. It's just something we have to learn from.

en Most coaches look at it as another season. Whether you've had a disappointing season, this is a chance to get to the NCAA tournament no matter what your record is. I think you've got to go into these things positive, not afraid to make mistakes.

en I thought I did a couple good things and a couple bad things, but I'm not stuck on that game at all, ... I'm moving on. It was a preseason game. en We felt aggrieved at a few decisions, but we can't use that as an excuse. We have to learn how the referees want us to play the game. We've had a meeting where the coaches have told us that's the case. We have to put things right and cut out the penalties that have cost us so dearly. en You learn from your mistakes. I think (Johnson) made a couple of mistakes then I think he was over-criticized for some things that really weren't his doing. I think he's always been a smart race-car driver, and that's what it takes to win races at this type of track.

en It would be very disappointing, very disappointing. But sometimes things don't work the way you want them to. Sometimes, you have to go through valleys to achieve good things. But right now, the season is far from being over. The only scenario I'm looking at is us needing to win these last three games. We can do it. I have no doubt in my mind that we can. We just have to put it together.
