en We feel pretty good about where we're at right now versus last year. Right now last year we were in 12th (he finished the season fourth). Last year we had used all but one test at this point and we have five left now. We're in a lot better shape this year. en The way we finished last year, winning at New Mexico State, is something that we talked about throughout the year and will be important this season. We have to learn to win on the road to become a winning program and to be able to compete for league championships. We will have a lot of opportunities to do that this season.

en It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

en That year we opened the season with them in the Hall of Fame Game and finished their season for them in '97, so we've actually played pretty well against them.

en Personally, I'm satisfied with how the season went. You always expect perfection, but how we finished this season will set a good tone for next year.

en [We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

en It's the worst season I have had as far as records go after my first year of coaching. It is the first time I have ever been lower than third in the league. I have only been third twice in 32 years. Every other year we have finished first or second.

en Last year I finished in the 20s. This has probably been my best season ever.

en I think everybody around our program is going into this game with a good feeling, primarily because of the way we finished the season. Last year, we went into it losing two out of three and kind of scuffling, and this year were going in with everyone anxious, looking forward to it, wanting to get to the semis.

en I was 10th my first year. I finished fifth the next year and third last season, now I'm looking to win it all.

en I think I had a pretty good season. Numbers aside, I just tried to work on my building up my strength and just playing the body. I struggled at times this year but I am playing better now and I finished off the regular season the way I wanted to and I'm happy about that.

en We're not finished. We've got a long season ahead of us. We're far from done. Our goal is to come out of this year No. 1, and win a championship.

en I'm excited for our sophomores. Especially after what happened last year and the way the season finished. This is vindication for them.

en I think something that we look to build on is our finish from last season, and we finished last season very strong. Not to go back to last season, but we have to use and remember how we developed at the end of last season.

en These guys wrestled great all year. We finished in the top five in every tournament and finished in the top 10 in the state. You couldn't ask for any more than what we did this year.
